The practical website edit 2 min read
People are finding your website. The inbox is still quiet. Before you buy another click, look at what happens after someone arrives.
If your website gets traffic but no enquiries, check these five things before spending more on ads.
Say what you do
Open your site on a phone. Would a stranger understand your offer in five seconds? “Interior painting in Ljubljana” says more than “We bring your vision to life.” Start there.

Send people to the right page
If your ad promises event photography, the next page should show event photography. Sending everyone to the homepage adds another step — and another chance to lose them.

Show a real example
Put a relevant project or customer testimonial next to your offer. Explain what you actually did. One convincing example is more useful than ten logos with no context.
Try your own contact form
Fill it in on your phone. Check that the message reaches your inbox. Remove questions you can ask later, and leave a phone number or email for people who prefer that.
Count the useful enquiries
Keep a simple note of where enquiries come from and which ones turn into work. Change one thing at a time. More visits mean little if the same empty inbox follows.
